You should be able to connect Ubuntu 22.04 to the Hopkins wifi network with you JHED ID and password. However there are a couple of settings in the dialog box that need to be changed:
- Wi-Fi Security should be WPA & WPA2 Enterprise
- Select Authentication mode Protected EAP (PEAP)
- Enter JHED ID in Anonymous Identity
- Enter win.ad.jhu.edu in Domain
- Check the box for No CA certificate required
- PEAP version should be Automatic
- Inner authentication should be MSCHAPv2
- Enter JHED ID in Username
- Enter JHED password in Password
(This should really work for almost any Linux running a GUI with some sort of Network Management utility, not just Ubuntu — but Ubuntu is the most popular end-user distribution in our population.)
