The WSE software download site is only available inside the Johns Hopkins network border. You got to this page because you are outside the border, but below are instructions to get you to the site.
There are two pre-requisites required to connect to the Hopkins network from the public internet. These are:
- Multi-factor authentication must be enabled and configured for your JHED login. Here are instructions.
- The VPN client must be installed and in use on your machine. More instructions.
Once these have been completed you can connect to software.wse.jhu.edu to download software. Most packages will also require you to be connected to the VPN to run the downloaded software, so that the software can connect to our private license servers.
|IF YOU THINK YOU’VE REACHED THIS PAGE IN ERROR, please connect to the VPN tester page to ensure your VPN connection is active. If you’re on a Mac and are using Safari, some of that browser’s anti-tracking tools can interfere with the connection to the software site. You might try using Edge or Firefox instead.|
If you’re having trouble figuring out where to look for software at WSE, we have a page describing different software resources.
If you are having trouble with either of these steps you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
